Ruslan Zheldibay, assistant and press secretary to the President of Kazakhstan, has commented on a brief exchange between President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and US President Donald Trump that took place during the signing ceremony of the Board of Peace Charter at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
According to Zheldibay, several media outlets had requested clarification regarding the content of the short conversation between the two leaders, Caliber.Az reports via Kazakh media.
He said that President Tokayev drew President Trump’s attention to an official document circulated at the Davos Forum titled “365 Wins of President Donald Trump in 365 Days”, which lists Kazakhstan’s accession to the Abraham Accords as Trump’s 177th achievement.
Zheldibay added that President Tokayev also conveyed his wishes for President Trump’s success in pursuing what he described as a “common sense” domestic policy. In response, President Trump expressed gratitude to the Kazakh leader for supporting his initiative to establish the Board of Peace.
President Tokayev arrived at the Davos Congress Centre on January 22 to attend the signing ceremony of the Board of Peace Charter, an initiative launched by US President Donald Trump.
