Top Iranian official vows "revenge" for killing of Ali Khamenei
Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr's, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, has vowed retaliation for the killing of the Islamic Republic's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, saying those responsible will face punishment.
In a statement, Zolghadr described the late leader as a lasting symbol of Iran's national security doctrine and warned that efforts to avenge his death remain ongoing.
"The clenched fist of our fallen leader at the moment of his ascension stands as an enduring symbol of our national security doctrine. The mission to avenge the pure blood of the great Khamenei and Iran's innocent martyrs remains unresolved. Those who orchestrated and perpetrated these crimes will, in due course—and that moment is fast approaching—face the justice they deserve at the hands of worthy forces," Zolghadr said.
