Toyota car explodes in Yerevan, one injured

An explosion occurred in a Toyota vehicle in Yerevan, injuring one man, the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Rescue Service has announced.

According to the Service, the incident took place on May 10 at 21:08 on Popov Street, where a blast was heard coming from a car, caused by a fuel leak, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.

A firefighting and rescue crew from the Yerevan Rescue Department was dispatched to the scene.

One individual who was injured as a result of the blast was hospitalised before emergency services arrived.

Upon arrival, rescuers managed to stop the fuel leakage from the vehicle.
