TRIPP project becoming reality as Armenia, US finalize agreement, PM says

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has announced that Armenia and the United States are preparing to formally sign a Framework Agreement on Strategic Partnership for the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project, describing the initiative as a major step toward ending the country’s regional isolation.

Speaking during an election campaign event in Nor Hachn, the Armenian prime minister, who is currently on leave and running as the Civil Contract party’s candidate for prime minister, said the two sides had already finalized the text of the agreement, Armenpress reports.

Pashinyan stated that the TRIPP project had moved from concept to implementation and was now awaiting final approval.

“The Republic of Armenia and the United States of America have agreed on the text of the agreement for the implementation of the TRIPP project. The TRIPP project is becoming a reality. The text has been finalized and is ready for final signing, which will take place in the near future,” Pashinyan said.

He added that the initiative would help Armenia overcome its long-standing geopolitical isolation and reshape its regional role.

“This means that the Republic of Armenia is overcoming the blockade. Armenia will no longer be a blocked state, but will transform from a deadlock of conflict into a crossroads of peace,” the Armenian premier said.
