Trump, Qatar’s Emir talk over Iran ceasefire, regional stability
Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, held a phone call on April 25 with Donald Trump, President of the United States, to discuss recent regional developments and ongoing diplomatic efforts.
According to an official statement, the two leaders reviewed the latest situation in the region, with particular focus on the ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran, as well as international initiatives aimed at reinforcing and sustaining the truce.
The discussions also addressed the broader implications of regional tensions, including their impact on maritime security and global supply chains, both of which remain key concerns for international stability and trade.
During the call, the Emir underscored the importance of de-escalation and the pursuit of peaceful solutions through dialogue.
He reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to working closely with regional and international partners to support mediation efforts led by Pakistan, aimed at strengthening security and stability across the region.
