Trump says he never visited Epstein’s island
US President Donald Trump has once again denied any involvement with the late financier Jeffrey Epstein, stating that he never visited Epstein’s private island, Little Saint James.
“[...] unlike so many people that like to ‘talk’ trash, I never went to the infested Epstein island but, almost all of these Crooked Democrats, and their Donors, did,” Trump wrote on February 2 on his social media platform, Truth Social.
Trump stressed that he was never a friend of Epstein and said he would file lawsuits against what he described as “radical left” attempting to smear his reputation.
On January 30, the US Department of Justice released nearly three million additional documents related to the Epstein case. Among them were unverified allegations involving Trump that the FBI had previously received as tips. The Department of Justice stated that these claims were “baseless and false.”
According to The Hill, by the morning of February 1, the documents referencing Trump were no longer accessible in the Department of Justice’s database.
The newly released materials include information about Epstein’s time in prison, extensive email correspondence with various high-profile individuals, photographs, and other records linked to the investigation.
Trump has repeatedly said that he severed all ties with Epstein after realising he was, in his words, a “sick pervert.”
Epstein was accused of child trafficking, organising prostitution involving minors, and raping a 14-year-old girl. In 2019, he was found dead in his prison cell. Medical examiners ruled his death a suicide, though doubts about that conclusion persist. The case drew global attention due to Epstein’s alleged connections with wealthy and influential figures in US and international political circles.
