Trussardi fashion brand completes exit from Russian market
Italian fashion brand Trussardi has officially closed all its subsidiaries in Russia, marking the final step in its gradual exit from the market.
The closures, carried out by T.R.S. Distribution LLC in the third quarter of 2025, included stores in Moscow’s GUM department store, on Tsvetnoy Boulevard, and major shopping centres such as Evropeysky Mall and Metropolis Mall, according to explanatory notes in the company’s financial statements reviewed by Kommersant.
According to Artem Suvorov, head of projects at Strategy Partners, the staggered closures reflect the brand’s careful unwinding of rental agreements in prime locations—a common practice in the premium fashion sector.
Trussardi initially announced its departure from Russia in 2022. While reports in 2024 suggested a possible return, including plans for a store at Khodynka Field, these plans never materialised. Retail expert Inna Golfand noted that the recent closures mark the formal legal conclusion of Trussardi’s operations in Russia, with the brand having ceased active business activities earlier.
