Türkiye detains 35 wanted suspects in large-scale Adana operation

Police in Türkiye’s Adana province detained 35 people wanted for various crimes during a large-scale security operation, TRT Haber reported.

The operation involved 1,615 police officers deployed in 297 teams. Four drones and a helicopter were used for aerial surveillance, while detector dogs assisted officers on the ground.

Police checked 29,762 people against law-enforcement databases. Officers seized four unregistered pistols, four magazines, 25 rounds of ammunition, six bladed weapons, 175 narcotic-effect tablets, marijuana and synthetic drugs.

Traffic police also inspected 7,973 vehicles. Four stolen motorcycles were recovered, two cars were taken off the road, and administrative fines were issued to the owners of 140 vehicles.

In addition, police took action against 19 people for unauthorised trading and begging at intersections across the city.
