Turkish Air Force jets take part in NATO air defence drills

Turkish Air Force aircraft participated in a NATO exercise on integrated air and missile defence (IAMD) held in Romanian airspace, Türkiye’s Ministry of National Defence announced.

The exercise involved two F-16 fighter jets from the 6th Air Base in Bandırma, one E-7T airborne early warning and control aircraft from the 3rd Air Base in Konya, and one KC-135R tanker aircraft from the 10th Air Base in Adana, Caliber.Az reports.

During the joint activities with NATO forces, exercises to intercept low-speed targets were successfully conducted for the first time.

The ministry said Türkiye continues to contribute to peace and security through its strong air force.
