Turkish Air Force launches massive strike against terrorists in Iraq
The Turkish Air Force destroyed 13 targets during an air operation in northern Iraq.
An air operation was carried out against terrorist organizations in Gara, Hakurk and Qandil districts in northern Iraq at 19:00 on December 20 in line with the right to self-defence stemming from Article 51 of the UN Charter, the Turkish Ministry of National Defense wrote on its social media page X, Caliber.Az reports.

"In order to prevent terrorist attacks against our people and security forces from northern Iraq by neutralizing the PKK/KSK and other terrorist elements and to secure our borders in accordance with the right to self-defence stemming from Article 51 of the UN Charter, an air operation was conducted against terrorist targets in the areas of Gara, Hakurk and Qandil in northern Iraq on December 20, 2023, at 19:00 local time," the Defense Ministry said in a statement.
