Turkish Air Force neutralises 58 terrorists in Iraq
Turkish Armed Forces continue to fight against all kinds of threats and dangers emanating from terrorist organisations PKK/KSK/PYD-YPG, ISIS and FETÖ.
Caliber.Az reports with reference to the page of the Turkish Ministry of National Defence on social network X that the statement came from the head of the ministry's press service Zeki Aktyurk while speaking at the weekly briefing.
The ministry noted that in operations carried out in northern Iraq and Syria, since January 1, 1,351 terrorists have been neutralised in the ATO (anti-terrorist operation) zone, 80 of them in the last week. Thus, the number of terrorists neutralised since July 24, 2015 reached 38,694.
As a result of planned air operations in northern Iraq against terrorists conducted by the Turkish Air Force from September 1 to 23, 82 targets in Qandil, Asos, Gara, Metin, Zapa and Hakurk were hit.
During the operations, 58 terrorists were eliminated and terrorist hideouts, warehouses and caves used by terrorists were destroyed.
