Turkish Airlines to launch up to 14 weekly flights between Istanbul and Yerevan
Turkish Airlines is planning to operate up to 14 round-trip flights per week between Istanbul and Yerevan beginning in June 2026.
According to Armenian media, cited by Caliber.Az, the press service of Yerevan’s Zvartnots International Airport announced the plans.
According to the airport’s statement, the airline will introduce daily flights on the route starting March 11. The frequency is scheduled to rise further from May 14, when the number of weekly services is expected to reach up to 10. From June 15, Turkish Airlines intends to expand operations to as many as 14 flights per week between the two cities.
Earlier, in December 2025, Türkiye’s Special Representative for the normalisation of relations with Armenia, Serdar Kılıç, had already spoken about the planned launch and expansion of air services. At the time, he characterised the move as “another step forward” in the process of improving bilateral ties.
