Turkish ambassador to Malta passes away
Türkiye's Ambassador to Malta Erdeniz Şen has passed away, as announced by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism of Malta Ian Borg on his X account.
“I am deeply saddened by the passing of the Ambassador of Turkiye to Malta H.E. Erdeniz Şen. His dedication to diplomacy and service to his country will be remembered with respect. My heartfelt condolences to his family, colleagues [in the] Turkish embassy in Malta and the people of Türkiye,” the post reads, as per Caliber.Az.
Erdeniz Şen served as Türkiye’s Ambassador to Malta from February 23, 2023, until his passing. He was appointed to the position by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on December 9, 2022, and presented his credentials to President George Vella of Malta on February 23, 2023.
