Turkish Armed Forces to soon receive Tayfun ballistic missiles VIDEO
The tests of the Turkish ballistic missile TAYFUN developed by Roketsan continue successfully.
Türkiye will reach a new stage in the field of ballistic missiles with TAYFUN, which is expected to be delivered to the Turkish Armed Forces soon, Caliber.Az reports, citing X page of Turkish online defence platform SavunmaSanayiST.com.

Note that in terms of deterrence, ballistic missiles are critical, having a much larger payload than cruise missiles and also cannot be blocked by classical air defence systems due to their speed and flight path.
Contrary to some media claims, Roketsan did not receive any external support in developing the TAYFUN short-range ballistic missile, it was entirely developed by Roketsan engineers in terms of both technically and using domestic components.
