Turkish Army eliminates about 900 terrorists since early 2023
Zeki Akturk, Spokesman for the Turkish Ministry of National Defence, has said the Turkish Armed Forces have neutralised 892 terrorists in the region since the beginning of this year.
He noted that the determined fight against threats to national security continues both inside and outside Türkiye.
However, individuals involved in terrorist organisations such as the PKK/YPG, FETÖ, and DEAŞ pose a particular threat, Caliber.Az reports.

"In the last week alone, the Turkish military neutralised 44 terrorists, including in Iraq and northern Syria. This brings the total number of terrorists eliminated since the beginning of this year to 892, and a total of 38,235 militants since July 24ç 2015," Akturk said.
He said active steps are also being taken to protect the state border, where 193 illegal infiltration attempts were foiled during the week.
"Twenty of this number are terrorists, including 15 functionaries of the Fethullah Gulen Terrorist Organisation (FETÖ). In addition, 2,900 people were detained before they could cross the border," Akturk noted.
