BAYKAR has introduced the KEMANKEŞ mini-cruise missile, the first of the Cruise Mobile Munitions (KAGEM) family. The first fire test of KEMANKEŞ was successfully carried out, with a range of more than 200 kilometres.
KaGeM V3 with the BAYKAR logo is considered a new member of the BAYKAR missile family.
The missile is estimated to be quite heavy and large compared to the KEMANKEŞ missile, which weighs 30 kilograms. It is envisioned that the KaGeM V3 missile will have a turbojet rocket engine. It is possible that the missile has been exported to Pakistan or is being developed jointly with Pakistan.
Bayraktar KEMANKES will be able to operate by integrating with Bayraktar AKINCI, Bayraktar TB2 and Bayraktar TB3 UAVs. The mini smart cruise missile will be able to move quickly in the air for 1 hour thanks to its jet engine and will be able to demonstrate effectiveness against the most dangerous targets along the enemy line.
It has a range of over 200 kilometres and a communication range of 50 kilometres. In addition, it will change the balance on the battlefield by flying autonomously with an artificial intelligence-supported autopilot system and neutralizing strategic targets with high accuracy.
Equipped with artificial intelligence optical guidance, KEMANKES can operate at altitudes up to 18,000 feet. The normal cruising speed of the ammunition is Mach 0.3, while diving towards the target it develops a maximum speed of Mach 0.7.
With a length of 1.73 m and a wingspan of 1.25 m, the KEMANKES KAGEM can carry a payload of 6 kg. Circulating ammunition with a maximum weight of 30 kilograms, it is equipped with a camera system with 2-axis stabilization, 36x zoom and a laser rangefinder with a range of 2.8 kilometres.
It is assumed that BAYKAR is also working on heavier and longer-range ammunition.
