Turkish chief of staff to visit Azerbaijan for commemorative ceremony

Turkish Chief of General Staff, Army General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu, will pay an official visit to Azerbaijan.

During his visit, General Bayraktaroğlu is scheduled to participate in a commemorative ceremony at Turkish and Azerbaijani burial sites, marking the 107th anniversary of the arrival of the Caucasian Islamic Army under Nuri Paşa in Baku and the city’s liberation from Bolshevik occupation, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

Earlier, Azerbaijani Chief of General Staff, Colonel General Kerim Valiyev, stated that the planned visit of General Bayraktaroğlu would further strengthen the ties between the armed forces of the two countries.
