Turkish defence chief evaluates border security with Iran during strategic visit
Turkish National Defence Minister Yaşar Güler conducted a high-level inspection of military units stationed in the Başkale district, located along Türkiye’s eastern border with Iran.

“Defense Minister Guler visits Van's Baskale district to inspect military units and assess security along Türkiye-Iran border,” the post reads.
During the visit, Minister Güler reviewed the operational readiness of Turkish forces deployed in the area and received detailed briefings on the current security landscape. The minister also evaluated the overall security situation along the border.
