Turkish firm to showcase innovative defence technologies in three countries

22 September 2024 18:13

A prominent Turkish defence firm, STM, plans to showcase its naval platforms and tactical mini-unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems in Azerbaijan and the Philippines following its participation in South Africa.

The company is currently attending Africa Aerospace and Defense 2024, a major defense exhibition taking place in Pretoria, South Africa, from September 18-22, as stated in their announcement, Caliber.Az reports, citing Turkish media.

At its booth, STM hosted several high-level delegations, including one led by South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, showcasing Türkiye's first national frigate, the MILGEM Ada-class corvette, along with the STM-MPAC multi-purpose attack craft and the STM500 small submarine.

Among the featured tactical mini-UAV systems is Türkiye’s first national attack UAV, the KARGU, a combat-proven rotary-wing loitering munition system.   STM will also participate in the Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition ADEX 2024, set to take place at the Baku Expo Center from September 24-26.

The company plans to display mock-ups of the Ada-Class MILGEM, the STM-MPAC, the Pakistan Navy fleet tanker (PNFT), the STM500, the KARGU, the BOYGA mini-UAV with mortar payload, and the TOGAN national surveillance and reconnaissance UAV.   Additionally, at the Asian Defense and Security Exhibition (ADAS-2024) in the Philippines from September 25-27, STM will present its naval platforms and tactical mini-UAV systems.
