Turkish FM: Armenia, Azerbaijan may sign peace treaty soon
A peace agreement may be signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan in the near future, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said during a speech in Antalya.
The Minister noted that some are concerned over the liberation of Karabakh from the occupation, Caliber.Az reports.
"The map presented by Kemal Kilicdaroglu, chairman of CHP, does not show the Turkic Road crossing Azerbaijan. Why? What do you want from Azerbaijan? Maybe this is what Armenia wants from you? I hope the Turkish people will respond with dignity,” he noted.
According to Cavusoglu, Armenia has recently been taking loyal steps towards Azerbaijan.
"The sides have already recognized each other's territorial integrity. If this continues, a peace treaty may be signed in the near future,” he concluded.
