Turkish FM Hakan Fidan to visit Azerbaijan for high-level talks on bilateral cooperation
On January 18, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan is set to arrive in Baku for an official visit, during which high-level meetings will be held to discuss key bilateral issues.
Fidan will meet with Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev and Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Caliber.Az reports per Turkish media.
The discussions will focus on a range of bilateral issues, including political, military, economic, trade, transportation, and energy matters,
The steps to be taken to achieve the target of a total trade volume of 15 billion dollars between the two countries, as well as efforts to further enhance cooperation in all areas, particularly in culture, tourism, health, education, and agriculture, will also be discussed.
Foreign Minister Fidan is also expected to exchange views with his counterpart Bayramov on regional issues, including the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process, as well as developments in Syria, Gaza, and Ukraine, along with global matters.
