Turkish forces launch massive strike on terrorists in Iraq
The Turkish Ministry of National Defence has said that the Turkish Armed Forces have conducted an air operation against terrorist sites in northern Iraq.
"The air operation was carried out against PKK targets in the areas of Qara, Qandil and Asos in order to eliminate terrorist attacks against the people and security forces from northern Iraq by neutralising PKK/KSK members and other terrorist elements and securing the borders, and took place within the right to self-defence derived from Article 51 of the UN Charter,” Caliber.Az reports, citing the Ministry’s X page.

As reported, 25 targets consisting of caves, shelters, hideouts, warehouses and facilities used by the separatist terrorist organisation, including a large number of terrorists, were destroyed.
During the air operation, members of the terrorist organisation were neutralised through the maximum use of domestic and national ammunition," the statement said.
