These operations underscore Türkiye's ongoing commitment to combating terrorism and maintaining regional stability. The operations are part of a broader strategic effort to disrupt terrorist activities and secure the region. Turkish authorities use the term "neutralize" to describe situations where terrorists are either killed, captured, or surrendered.
The PKK, which is recognized as a terrorist organization by Türkiye, the US, and the EU, has conducted a violent insurgency against Türkiye for over 40 years, resulting in more than 40,000 deaths, including those of women and children.
