Turkish, German top officials discuss NATO expansion, Syria crisis
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has met with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier as part of his visit to Brazil to attend the inauguration of the country's president-elect.
Cavusoglu announced the meeting on Twitter on January 1, Caliber.Az informs.
According to him, the issue of NATO expansion and the situation in Syria was discussed during the meeting.
“We conveyed the greetings of our President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier. We discussed Syria and NATO expansion," the minister wrote.
