Turkish leader postpones UAE visit following President Al Nahyan’s illness
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan postponed his visit to the UAE, originally scheduled for February 16, due to the illness of President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
According to a statement from the Presidential Communications Directorate, the Turkish president expressed his sorrow over the health issues faced by the UAE president and wished him a speedy recovery, Caliber.Az reports per Turkish media.
“President Erdoğan and UAE President Al Nahyan also addressed regional and international matters of mutual interest, as well as the latest developments in the region and the works undertaken about these developments.
Noting that their planned meeting has been postponed to a later date, the two leaders reaffirmed that they would come together at their earliest convenience,” the statement read.
