Turkish man shot dead during lunch at Batumi restaurant VIDEO

On July 18, 2025, a Turkish national was fatally shot inside a restaurant in downtown Batumi.

According to reports from Georgian media sources, the incident occurred around 3:00 p.m. at the Grill restaurant, located near the Le Meridien hotel in central Batumi, per Caliber.Az.

The victim was dining when the shots were fired from the street.

Following the report, officers from the Ministry of Internal Affairs quickly arrived at the scene. Authorities confirmed the man’s death and have launched a full investigation, conducting all necessary investigative procedures.

“The relevant departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs immediately responded to the incident,” the ministry stated.
