Turkish military neutralizes over 2,200 terrorists Since January 2024 / VIDEO
The Turkish army has neutralized a total of 2,235 terrorists in the region since January 1, 2024, National Defence Ministry's spokesman Zeki Akturk said.
In just the past two weeks, 41 terrorists were neutralized in northern Iraq, Syria, and parts of northern Türkiye, bringing the totals to 1,171 in northern Iraq and 1,064 in northern Syria, Caliber.Az reports.

Akturk highlighted recent air operations that targeted terrorist sites in northern Iraq and Syria, stating that 47 targets—comprising caves, shelters, hideouts, depots, and facilities used by separatist organizations—were destroyed.
The Turkish military utilized primarily domestic and national ammunition in these operations, and assessments of their effectiveness are ongoing.
In addition, two members of the PKK, a Kurdish militant group, surrendered at border posts in Akcakale and Yuksekova after escaping from their hideouts in northern Iraq.
During search and scanning operations in the Hakurk area of northern Iraq, Turkish forces seized a cache of weapons that included 10 Konkurs anti-tank missiles, seven SA-7B anti-aircraft missiles, and various other types of ammunition.
