Turkish minister announces successful extraditions of key crime figures VIDEO
Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya has said that two high-profile figures from the world of organised crime were successfully extradited to Türkiye as part of a coordinated international operation.
Sinan Memi, one of the top leaders of a major organised crime syndicate, has been brought to Türkiye from Poland. Memi, who had been sought under a "red notice" issued by Interpol, is accused of leading a notorious criminal organisation involved in various illicit activities, Caliber.Az reports, citing Yerlikaya’s message on X.

In addition, Atakan Avcı, a significant drug trafficker, was also extradited from Bulgaria to face charges in Türkiye.
The extraditions were the result of a collaborative effort between Turkish law enforcement agencies and international organisations, including Interpol and Europol.
These joint operations are part of ongoing efforts to combat organised crime and drug trafficking networks operating across borders.
Yerlikaya commended the successful operation, highlighting the continued commitment of Turkish authorities to tackling organised crime both domestically and internationally.
