Turkish MP: Israel's hidden agenda targets Türkiye
The true, albeit concealed, objective of Israel is Türkiye, rather than other nations in the region, said chairman of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Devlet Bahçeli at a parliamentary session.
According to Bahçeli, Türkiye is the hidden target of Israeli terrorism, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
"Today, the focus is not on Beirut but on Ankara. Israel's current target is not Damascus, Tehran, Sanaa, or Baghdad, but Istanbul. The hidden, secret agenda of Israel revolves around the Turkish homeland,” he stressed.
Bahceli's remarks come amid heightened tensions in the region and reflect the growing concerns of Turkish officials regarding Israel's intentions.
“The next phase and ultimate aim of the missiles fired and bombs dropped will be the geography of Anatolia. Türkiye is the concealed target of Israeli terrorism," Bahçeli noted.
Turkish politician Devlet Bahçeli condemned the escalating violence in Gaza, where he reported that approximately 85,000 tonnes of bombs have been dropped. He stated that around 100,000 Palestinians have been injured and that one million have been forced to flee their homes due to the ongoing conflict.
Bahçeli expressed grave concern over the geopolitical ramifications of the situation, claiming that the Middle East is being fragmented to facilitate the establishment of a Greater Israel. He highlighted the historical significance of Palestine and Jerusalem, noting that in the 400 years of control without artillery fire, these areas are now "soaked in blood."
He warned that the region could face ethnic and sectarian divisions, leading to the creation of terrorist entities and mini-states acting as outposts for Zionism.
Criticising the Israeli government, Bahçeli stated:
"International law has been violated by Israel, and the legacy and values of humanity are on the brink of destruction."
He argued that merely imposing an arms embargo on Israel is insufficient and that condemnatory statements lack meaningful impact.
The politician urged for immediate action, asserting that force must be used to halt Israel's actions, which he described as a "killing machine."
Bahçeli called upon the United Nations to take decisive measures to hold Israel accountable for its actions.
