Turkish nationals detained in Georgia for weapons, ammunition possession

Two Turkish citizens have been detained in Adjara, Georgia, for the illegal acquisition and possession of firearms and ammunition as part of a group, the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
Investigations revealed that the suspects purchased weapons and ammunition, which they stored in Batumi at the temporary residence of one of the men.
During a search of the home, law enforcement officers seized firearms, magazines, and 135 rounds of ammunition.
The suspects, aged 56 and 59, face up to 11 years in prison for the crime.
