Turkish navy flagship draws crowds at TEKNOFEST Mavi Vatan
Türkiye’s amphibious assault ship TCG Anadolu has become one of the main attractions for visitors to the TEKNOFEST Mavi Vatan festival, being held at the Gölcük Naval Shipyard.
The festival aims to showcase Türkiye’s naval capabilities, independence and domestic defence industry, Caliber.Az reports, citing Turkish media.
The exhibition features ships of various classes, unmanned systems, aircraft, air defence systems and missile platforms.
TCG Anadolu, docked at the shipyard, has proved particularly popular, with visitors lining up to board the vessel and sharing their impressions after touring it.
Visitors said they felt proud to see Gölcük host such a major event and praised the high level of Türkiye’s defence industry.
“I had seen it before when it was passing through the strait. It is incredibly large. When you go inside, you simply lose yourself in its scale. Amphibious craft and vehicles for transporting personnel are located below. Kızılelma, helicopters and Bayraktar on the deck filled me with immense pride. We thank everyone who allowed us to experience this feeling,” one visitor said.
The festival continued into its second day, highlighting key projects of Türkiye’s defence industry.
