Turkish police bust attempt to smuggle half a million drug pills hidden inside furniture

Turkish police have seized over half a million pills containing synthetic narcotics during a drug raid in Mersin.
Authorities located 520,000 pills that were being concealed inside television cabinets in the central Toroslar district of the southern city, Caliber.Az reports citing Turkish media.
According to the Mersin Provincial Police Department, the operation was launched under the coordination of the city's Chief Public Prosecutor's Office as part of an investigation into drug trafficking.
The discovery was made during a search of a commercial premises. Two suspects that have been identified in the public domain only by their initials, A.V. and M.İ.A, have taken into custody.
