Turkish president appoints new justice, interior ministers

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has appointed new ministers to head the Justice and Interior ministries, according to presidential decrees.
Thus, Akın Gürlek has been named Minister of Justice, succeeding Yılmaz Tunc, while Mustafa Çiftçi takes over as Minister of the Interior, replacing Ali Yerlikaya, Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.
Previously, Mustafa Çiftçi served as governor of Erzurum province, while Akın Gürlek held the position of Istanbul’s chief public prosecutor.
No further comments were provided by the presidency regarding the reshuffle.
