Turkish president to visit Nakhchivan for laying foundation stone of gas pipeline

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will pay a one-day working visit to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan on September 25.

The visit will take place at the invitation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, TRT Haber reports, citing the Turkish Presidential Administration.

According to the statement, the leaders will discuss bilateral Turkish-Azerbaijani relations.

They will also exchange views on current regional and international issues, primarily regarding the recent developments in the Garabagh region of Azerbaijan.

The Turkish and Azerbaijani presidents are expected to attend the ceremony of laying the foundation stone of the Igdir-Nakhchivan gas pipeline and opening of the modernized Nakhchivan Military Complex.
