Turkish president visits Kahramanmaras

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has arrived in the quake-hit province of Kahramanmaras.

The head of state is expected to visit the campus of Imam Sutcu University in Kahramanmaras, where modular houses are located for temporary accommodation for victims of the devastating earthquake, Report informs.

There are plans to accommodate 1,000 containers and 500 modular houses in the area.

In addition, Erdogan met in the province with Azerbaijani Deputy Emergencies Minister, Lt. Gen. Etibar Mirzoyev, who is leading the Azerbaijani search-and-rescue team sent to the brotherly country for assisting in the earthquake recovery.

The Turkish president thanked Azerbaijani rescuers for their efforts.
