Turkish, Russian defence chiefs engage in strategic dialogue on Iran-Israel crisis PHOTO

Turkish National Defence Minister Yaşar Güler and his Russian counterpart Andrei Belousov held a telephone discussion focusing on pressing bilateral and regional security concerns, with particular attention to the escalating conflict between Iran and Israel.

The Turkish Ministry of Defence confirmed the exchange in an official statement released via the social media platform X, noting that the conversation encompassed a broad range of defence and security issues affecting both nations and the wider region, Caliber.Az reports.

“On June 17, a telephone conversation was held between Turkish National Defence Minister Yaşar Güler and Russian Defence Minister Andrei Belousov. The sides exchanged views on bilateral and regional defence and security issues, in particular on the conflict between Iran and Israel,” the statement read.
