Turkish, Russian leaders to meet in Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will meet with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin as part of the summit of heads of state of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) due Samarkand, Uzbekistan on September 15-16, 2022.
President Erdogan plans to meet the leaders of other SCO member states, Report informs with reference to the Turkish press.
Then, the Turkish president will visit the US to participate in the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
President Erdogan will touch upon such topics as the war in Ukraine, the Ukraine wheat export, the fight against terrorism, and tense relations with Greece during his speech at the session on September 20.
Moreover, he will meet the heads of state and governments of several countries on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session.
