Turkish strike drones exported to all regions across world

Turkish-made Bayraktar TB2 strike unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) are in demand all over the world.

The remarks came from Deputy Head of the Defence Industry Department under the Turkish Presidential Administration Celal Sami Tufekci at a conference on aviation and space technologies in Ankara on June 4, reports the Anadolu Agency.

According to him, Bayraktar TB2 UAVs are supplied to almost all regions of the planet.

“If the Western countries were not ashamed to later admit the fact of purchases of Turkish weapons, they would have done this long ago. TB2 UAVs have actually changed the strategy of warfare. Drones Akıncı and MİUS were also created. Not only Baykar, but also TUSAŞ, whose specialists created the Anka and Aksungur strike UAVs, are currently developing unmanned aircraft in Turkey,” Tufekci said.

He added that Turkish Defence Technologies Engineering and Trade Company’s (STM) tactical mini-drones, are also in high demand abroad.

Tufekci underlined the importance of having highly qualified personnel in the defence industry.

“We are betting on the technologies of the future. This is important for the development of the defence industry,” he said.
