Turkish, Syrian naval commanders focus on expanded maritime cooperation PHOTO
A delegation from the Syrian Ministry of Defence visited Türkiye to hold talks aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation in the field of naval defence.
The meeting was confirmed by the Turkish Ministry of National Defence via its official X account, Caliber.Az reports.

The delegation, led by Syrian Naval Forces Commander Brigadier General Mohammed al-Saud, visited the headquarters of the Turkish Naval Forces, where he met with Admiral Ercüment Tatlıoğlu, Commander of the Turkish Naval Forces. The talks reportedly centered on shared maritime security interests and the potential for joint coordination mechanisms in the naval sphere.
The Turkish ministry noted that the dialogue addressed “general issues” and focused on identifying practical avenues for enhancing coordination and operational cooperation in maritime defence.
