Turkish trainer aircraft “HÜRJET” accomplishes another test VIDEO
The “HÜRJET” trainer and light attack aircraft, created as a result of research initiated by Turkish aerospace company TUSAŞ in 2017, stands out as the first manned jet-powered aircraft in Türkiye.
The aircraft, which made its maiden flight on April 25, 2023, has successfully flown 34 hours with a total of 43 combat sorties, Caliber.Az reports, citing Defence Turk's post on its page on social network X.

The “HÜRJET” is a single-engine, tandem-cockpit jet trainer aircraft equipped with advanced avionics systems. It is designed to perform mission-critical tasks due to its high performance.
In this context, it is planned that the combat version of the HÜRJET will fulfil a wide range of missions.
It is also planned that the HÜRJET will replace the old T-38 and F-5 aircraft of the Turkish Air Force.
Furthermore, the HÜRJET has been designed to provide appropriate training support for the growing 5th-generation combat aircraft (KAAN, F-35, etc.).
