Turkish troops eliminate eight PKK terrorists in Operation "GÜRZ-2" VIDEO

Turkish forces eliminated eight terrorists during the "GÜRZ-2" operation conducted in the rural areas of Pervari in Siirt province.

Those falling into the orange category included Benda Amed, Semra Ayverdi, Baran Hemlin, and Seyithan Sencer, Caliber.Az reports, citing Turkish media sources.

In the grey category, the terrorists were identified as Sarbrahim, Yakup Niso, Destina Botan and Bisenk Durmus.

According to Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, the Siirt, Sirnak and Van Provincial Gendarmerie Commands conducted intelligence led to the execution of the operation “GÜRZ-2” in the Pervari countryside under the coordination of the Gendarmerie General Command Intelligence Directorate and Counter Terrorism Department, and the direction and administration of Public Order Corps Command.

Gendarmerie Special Operations, Gendarmerie Special Public Order Command, Gendarmerie Commando teams, and Security Rangers made contact with terrorists with the support of Air Force Command aircraft, Atak attack helicopters, and J-UAV.

Suspects belonging to the PKK terrorist group were killed in the clash.

The eliminated terrorists had participated in nine attacks, resulting in the deaths of six security guards and five civilians. Additionally, six security guards and 11 civilians were wounded in these attacks.

The Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) is a Kurdish militant and political organisation listed as a terrorist group by Türkiye, the United States, the European Union and NATO. It has been engaged in armed conflict with the Turkish government for decades, seeking greater Kurdish autonomy in Türkiye.
