Turkish unmanned fighter successfully strikes jet target in historic test PHOTO

Türkiye’s first unmanned fighter jet, the Bayraktar KIZILELMA, has become the world’s first platform to strike a jet aerial target with an air-to-air missile during tests off the coast of Sinop.

According to TRT Haber, citing a statement from Baykar, the project was developed entirely using national resources. The test marks the first successful use of an unmanned fighter against an aerial target in history.

Most drones worldwide are designed for air-to-ground missions. However, the KIZILELMA has become the first platform to demonstrate the capability for aerial combat, a milestone hailed as the beginning of a new era in aviation.
