Türkiye: 5.4-magnitude quake jolts Kütahya

An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale struck Türkiye on Saturday, September 27, with its epicentre located in the Simav district of Kütahya province, according to Turkish broadcaster NTV.
The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) reported that the tremor occurred at 12:59 local time at a depth of 8.4 kilometres.
The quake was felt in several major cities, including Istanbul, Izmir, and Bursa. Authorities are currently assessing potential damage and any casualties.
