Türkiye, Armenia reach agreement on soonest opening of land border UPDATED
The fourth meeting of the special representatives on the process of normalisation of relations between Türkiye and Armenia - Serdar Kilic and Ruben Rubinyan was held in Vienna (Austria) on July 1.
During the meeting, the sides agreed to open the land border between Türkiye and Armenia as soon as possible, and a decision was made to start the necessary process in this sphere, the Turkish Foreign Ministry told Report.
An agreement on launching cargo transportation by air between Türkiye and Armenia as soon as possible was also reached.

The press secretary of the Armenian Foreign Ministry Vahan Hunanyan made the announcement, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Armenian media.
In December 2022, Armenia and Türkiye appointed their special representatives for normalisation talks. From the Armenian side, it was the vice-speaker of the parliament Ruben Rubinyan, Ankara is represented by the former ambassador to the United States Serdar Kilic.
The diplomats have already held three rounds of negotiations, the first meeting was held in Moscow, the other two - in Vienna.
