Türkiye arrests 104 suspected Islamic State operatives VIDEO
Turkish security forces have detained 104 people suspected of links to the militant group Islamic State (IS) in operations carried out across 30 provinces, Türkiye's Interior Ministry said on August 7.
The ministry said the raids were conducted by gendarmerie units as part of a nationwide operation targeting the group.
According to the ministry, investigators determined that the suspects had allegedly provided financial support to IS through individuals linked to the group and so-called charitable organisations, and had spread the group's propaganda on social media.
The operations were carried out in several provinces, including Istanbul, Antalya, Bursa and Konya.
