Türkiye arrests 36 suspects in nationwide ISIS raids
Coordinated by the Şanlıurfa General Public Prosecutor’s Office in Şanlıurfa, Türkiye, and carried out jointly with the Provincial Police Department and Provincial Gendarmerie Command, an operation was launched targeting suspects identified as members of the terrorist organisation Islamic State (ISIS) and involved in providing financial support.
Raids were simultaneously carried out at 39 locations across Şanlıurfa, Ankara, Istanbul, Gaziantep, Diyarbakır, Aydın, Samsun, and İzmir, resulting in the arrest of 36 suspects, according to Turkish media.
Authorities reported that the individuals were involved in financing the organisation. A large amount of organisational and digital materials was seized during searches at the targeted addresses.
