Türkiye assumes command of Combined Task Force in Gulf of Aden PHOTO
Türkiye's Ministry of National Defence has announced the assumption of command of the Combined Task Force (CTF-151), which was established to fight pirates against merchant ships in the Gulf of Aden.
The command of the Combined Task Force (CTF-151) at the headquarters of the Combined Maritime Forces (CMF) in the Bahraini capital Manama has been transferred from Brazil to Türkiye, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Ministry’s statement.
Birleşik Görev Kuvveti (CTF-151) komuta görevi devir teslimi, Türkiye ve Brezilya arasında Manama-BAHREYN’de konuşlu Birleşik Deniz Kuvvetleri (Combined Maritime Forces-CMF) Karargâhında 24 Temmuz 2024 tarihinde icra edildi.

The statement recalled that the command of CTF-151 had already been exercised six times by Türkiye. According to the statement, this will be the seventh time between 24 July 2024 and 22 January 2025.
