Türkiye bolsters military power with elite drone operators training PHOTO
Türkiye is enhancing its military capabilities by training highly skilled drone operators, a key component of the nation's defence strategy.
The drone flight training course at the Isparta Aviation School is designed to prepare students for demanding combat situations through a comprehensive and intensive programme, Caliber.Az reports via Türkiye newspaper.
The Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) pilot course is held three times a year and spans 18 weeks. The programme consists of 720 hours of training, with a structure divided into 10 weeks of basic training, 5 weeks of emergency procedures, and 3 weeks of tactical training. After completing 53 hours of flight training, students are equipped to perform independent flight operations.
Cadets undergo extensive training on a variety of essential military tasks, including reconnaissance, surveillance, precision strikes, damage assessment, and target marking.
The programme heavily incorporates modern flight simulators to enhance students’ piloting abilities, ensuring they are prepared for real-world operations. In addition to classroom instruction, trainees participate in actual flight missions, where they receive guidance on executing tasks, adhering to international flight regulations, and managing radio communications.
By the end of the 18-week course, graduates are ready to take on the responsibility of operating drones in combat zones.
