Türkiye detains 108 trespassers in border security operations over past week

Turkish authorities detained 108 individuals attempting to illegally cross the country’s borders over the past week, including three members of terrorist organisations, the Turkish Ministry of Defence said.

The ministry's spokesperson Zeki Aktürk said on X that an additional 551 people were stopped before they could attempt to cross the border, per Caliber.Az.

Since the beginning of the year, a total of 1,074 individuals have been detained while attempting illegal border crossings, while 10,265 others were prevented from crossing, the ministry reported.
