Türkiye detains 147 people over suspected ISIS ties VIDEO
Turkish authorities have detained 147 people suspected of having ties to the militant group ISIS in operations across 33 provinces, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said on February 8.
The “Operation Heroes-49,” was carried out simultaneously across the country, Yerlikaya said on social media platform X, Caliber.Az reports.

"Operation Heroes-49" carried out under the coordination of the Intelligence Directorate of the General Directorate of Security and the Anti-Terrorism Department, which was carried out on the ground by the provincial security departments in Adana, Adiyaman, Afyonkarahisar, Ankara, Antalya, Bingol, Bitlis, Bolu, Bursa, Çorum, Diyarbakır, Düztse, Eskişehir, Istanbul, Gaziantep, Izmir, Karabük, Kayseri, Kirırkal, Elazig, Kirşehir, Kilise, Kocaeli, Konya, Kutahya, Manisa, Mardin, Mersin, Muglasla, Sakarya, Samsun and Sanlıurfa, was successfully completed, the minister specified.
Last month, one Turkish citizen was killed by two ISIS gunmen at the Italian Santa Maria Catholic Church in Istanbul. Turkish police captured the suspected perpetrators of the attack.
